Washington State University Top Questions

The worst thing about my school is probably how many fraternities and sororities there are. They only hang out with each other and don't really accept new people, and most of the time they act stuck up. I realize its good way to meet people, but I dont want to be stuck with only them I want to have lots of different friends.

There is not a lot to do off campus since it is not close to any larger cities.

That the town is small and there isn't many big city amenities or things to do

As I said above, the narrow mindedness of many students. Not just guys but girls too are very hateful and judgemental. The extreme amount of intolerance and acts of violence are the worst. When you go out at night you do not feel safe.

People tend not to come here only because UW is overblown in everyone's mind who grew up on the westside. From what I've seen, in exchange for the experiences you have here, attending WSU is priceless. I HAVE A BLAST EVERY SINGLE DAY I'M HERE. I stayed on to receive my Master's degree in Business and graduated with my B.A. with a 3.4 GPA. There is not a huge emphasis on getting great grades here, but there are many really REALLY motivated students that still receive 4.0's

Well, the weather is not ideal. Its hot for the first month, but extremely cold for the next 7 months

WSU is always changing to provide for all students. Nothing is bad in my opinion.

A lot of students spend their weekends drinking instead of studying and getting things done with class, which can also disrupt those that are focusing on classwork and not necessarily having fun all the time.
