Describe the students at Washington State University.

Bryan

Classmates are an ecclectic mix of unique individuals who are generally either eager to learn or eager to party, but rarely both.

Since it was originally an agriculturally based school there are still a lot of "hicks" but there's also a ton of people from Seattle and lots of international students as well. There aren't many "non-traditional students" because it takes a lot to pick up & move your family to Pullman, so it's mostly people right out of high school. It's quite a mix.

Nicole

My classmates are enthusiastic, interested in learning, friendly, intellectually gifted and competent; I attend the Honors College (smaller classes with different requirements) within Washington State University along with the general university.

Danielle

By and large, they enjoy partying, and that usually means drinking. This is a conservative region of Washington, so they tend to be conservative. There are all kinds of people here, nerds, jocks, etc., just like in high school. But they all share the same intense passion for Wazzu, and that's what makes this school great. Once a Coug, always a Coug.

For the most part, everyone is friendly and is there to help.

Amy

They are diverse intellectuals

Unfortunately, there is still tension with everything on campus. Even the LGBT has problems with Lesbians if you aren't butch or femme enough. It is that middle lying ground, the 'grey area' that everyone has issues with. Not just with LGBT but all groups. l And the Christian and Republican student body will always be trying to shove their beliefs down your throat. Trust me, it's not fun. Please see my 'Big Picture' paragraph to see more about the social ness.

Nico

The area is open to all types of people.
