When I tell my friends about my school I usually brag to them how the class sizes consisted of about 20-30 students. Small enough for the professors to get to know you on an individual level and not just as a number in the classroom. I also brag about being able to form relationships with other students within your program of study and learn from each other. Lastly, I brag about how much Viterbo likes to be a part of the community and stresses the idea of helping others.

I always tell them how I love the small class sizes. The walks to class are super short also. The food here is good too. They have different themed nights which is always fun. There seems to be a lot of activities that are free too.

Class sizes are by no means formidable. It is extremely nice to be able to have no more than about twenty people in each class: this helps in discussion and getting to know the professor(s). I love that I can wake up five minutes before class and make it anywhere on campus.

I'm not from Wisconsin (I'm from Cleveland, OH), so I was really impressed with how freakishly nice everyone is here. People may not always be helpful, but they're ALWAYS friendly about it and at least try. Plus, La Crosse has the greatest bar per capita PLUS a ton of churches; nice balance. VU is safe but you don't feel like you're in a Stepford Wives movie either. Many students aren't religious, but still love our religious classes/promotion of just being a good person and doing your part. That makes VU special.

That I was able to graduated with honors in a very hard nursing program. It is very easy to get into the program, but hard to maintain yourself through the rigorous classes.
