UW-Milwaukee lets almost anyone in so there are some people who have no business being in college in class with you. however that problem goes away after you get to the 300 level classes

It seems like everyday I receive at least one "campus safety alert" email explaining an armed robbery or theft that occurred somewhere near campus. Crime rarely occurs on campus, we have a very good security staff, but the neighborhood surrounding school is quite rough. This definately poses a problem for me, living off campus. The extremely high cost of rent anywhere within a mile radius of school is also a definate obstacle. Rent usually ends up being between $350-$450 a month per person for a flat or apartment. This still being nine blocks from campus.

There are a lot of stupid people here. I don't have to try very hard and I still do really well. I don't know how half the people here haven't failed out already. Sometimes I get annoyed by it.

Too many people and not enough jobs.

the campus is to small, sometimes there doesnt seem to be enough space for the now 30,000 students that go here. Though the university is always finding new ways to make it as comfortable as possible.
