People who don't like large schools. Madison is a very large school with a lot of people, and for someone who does not like that partciular setting, this would clearly not be the school for them.

Students who REALLY want a very small school atmostphere should not attend this school...other than that, there's a niche open for anyone who comes!

Someone who loves big cities and doesn't mind being a number.

Someone who is shy. Or transfer students. Being a transfer student is very hard here--it is unwelcoming and overwhelming.

A person who does not want to be exposed to new and different things and people on a daily basis.

UW-Madison is great for almost everyone. However, if you expect small classes starting freshman year, you might be disappointed.

The type of person that shouldn't attend this school is someone who doesn't want to be challenged and who doesn't want to learn or accept new ways of thinking about things. Also, a type of person that shouldn't attend this school is someone who's not open to the world and not open to different cultures.

This school offers something for everyone. It is able to do this because of it's size and opportunities.

Someone who can't handle lots of competition, work and large lectures.
