What do you consider the worst thing about University of Wisconsin-Madison? Why?

Brooke

You do a lot of work. People here work hard, and the teachers aren't lenient.

Matt

Lots of walking. Campus is a little spread out and i am lazy.

Caesar

There's so many opportunities out there, so many groups, clubs, events. The worst part is knowing what you should do. If you don't go to the first couple meetings of a group, it's hard to really "become part" of it. They will welcome you with open arms, no doubt, but it's a little weird, I think. So just go into everything at the very beginning, and choose what you want to commit to.

Thomas

The worst thing about this school is the local police and how they deal with drinking violations.

Brittany

The classes are often the largest when they are the most difficult. (Basically the more attention you need the less you get)

Ryan

The out of state people from the East Coast are really annoying, because they often times are more affluent are arrogant towards the midwestern folks. They really aren't a problem, but if there was one thing I could eliminate, that would be it.

Sara

If someone is shy and don't feel comfortable seeking out help from professors, TAs or advisors, they won't get help. It's a big city so there may be more crime than other places

Brett

Addmision to select schools/colleges is easier for transfer students so that hurts students that start enrolled here. Homicide rates in the city is high.

Elizabeth

The worst, and the best thing, is that you are on your own at this school. The school really doesn't care how you're doing academically and your advisor won't seek you out to see how things are going. It can be really overwhelming at first. But then again, it's a good thing, because you know that if you graduate from here having taking full advantage of all the opportunities, you'll be ready for whatever life throws at you, because you had to fight for things you wanted during college.

Kelsey

I don't consider anything very bad about it. If you don't like big schools, don't come here.
