What do you consider the worst thing about University of Wisconsin-La Crosse? Why?

Aubree

Cost, although you get a very good education for your money, it is still a lot, as is any college.

Melissa

The weather in the winter! walking to class in the freezing cold is never fun! but if that is all I have to complain about it must be pretty good!

Brett

The worst thing about UW-La Crosse is that they are tearing down two dormitories before they have built the new dorms. On campus housing is extremely limited. It doesn't make any sense why they would tear down two dorms before they built the new ones.

Sarah

The worst aspect of UW-La Crosse are the program changes. The head departments have recently mandated that students take certain classes towards their major, and then they change the requirements for those classes. Students often take classes that later on do not count toward their major, so they have to pay tuition and stay for extra semesters to make up for those classes that were lost.

While it offers a great education for a reasonable price, at times it can seem like there isn't a lot to do in La Crosse unless you're 21 or older.

Joe

Since I am a science major I think the worst thing about my school is the outdated science department. The science building is older than most of the other buildings on campus and has not been updated in a while. It would be really nice to have new science equipment and updated technology to help aid in our studies.

Well, UW-La Crosse is right next to downtown. La Crosse is a bigger town that has a lot of bars which I think may encourage students to drink or party on the weekends more, but I don't necessarily think that this has created a big problem. A lot of students actually know better too, and would prefer to study and focus on school work rather than procrastinate. We handle it pretty well.

Brad

It gets cold in Wisconsin and budget problems.

activities/events offered on campus during the weekends are basically non existant causing you to need to go downtown or hangout with your core group of friends for social interaction
