University of the Pacific Top Questions

I have no idea, most clubs/groups are equally popular. For it's different, because as a business student, I tend to focus more on the business groups; as for other majors they tend to go with activities or group that suits their interest or major.

The most popular organizations on campus would have to be ASUOP. The Associated Student leadership organization. There are in charge of putting in place events for all students. Next to that would be cultural clubs. There are many cultural clubs on campus, so no matter what nationality or religious group you belong to, we have a club for you. After the culture clubs, we have the Greeks. There are only a few traditional fraternities and sororities, but Pacific has many multicultural fraternities and sororities. That is mainly because Pacific is diverse when it comes to minorities. I am a member of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, INC. So I usually hang out with my fraternity brothers to study, complete community service, and lastly when we handle our business to celebrate.

ASUOP, Pride, Greek Life, Athletics are probably the most popular groups on campus. They have large, active members who really want to make a difference on campus and be noticed. Athletic events, unfortunately, are not very popular. Pacific has not seen much success overall in athletics and as a result it is typical for only a handful of students to attend most games. Pacific lacks when it comes to getting lecturers and guest speakers. They rarely get a well-known musician to perform on campus. Greek Life is an important aspect of campus life, though not crucial to everyone student's experience. They are 4 fraternities and 4 sororities on campus and each chapter has a house in which members live. Greek students are active is many other activities on campus and do not possess that "typical" Greek stereotype. If you are awake at 2am on Tuesday you are probably getting fast food from one of the many places in the area.
