The main aspect St. Thomas has to offer its students is the ability to receive individual academic attention due to small class sizes. St. Thomas provides numerous courses with thirty students or less, giving you the tools necessary to excel both before and after graduation. Few schools have that key advantage to offer. This makes St. Thomas significantly more unique. You get to know your teachers and classmates on a personal level--you feel comfortable asking for help or advice. You also form relationships with professors who can provide crucial connections in highly competitive job and internship markets.

St. Thomas is a private Catholic university that has a fantastic reputation for academics. The class sizes never exceed 35 students and the one on one help from professors is extremely helpful when struggling with a new environment of learning when you enter college.

The alumni network is astonishing. The mere mention of being associated with the school provokes praise, and opens doors. The business school is well respected for turning out dedicated professionals.

Classes are much easier. Class size is smaller. School is roughly $40,000 a year, very expensive.

I think the size of the school is most unique. It is in all honesty, perfect. It is not a tiny campus, but it is not a huge campus. The campus is like it's own little city, and everyone is a family. Another unique thing is the class sizes. There are small classes which is sometimes hard to find at colleges.

I looked at mnay private schools around Minnesota. What set the University of St. Thomas apart from the others was its location. Even though as I have mentioned above, many students travel home for the weekends, it is also a fun area to attend school at. It is very centrally located in the Twin Cities area and allows for a lot of unique experiences. I am originally from rural Minnesota, so its an interesting change to be in this much more diverse environment.

What is unique about St. Thomas is that it has the large school appeal without the intimidation that comes with that and at the same time, feels like you are a part of a small community where everyone looks out for one another, is respectful and always willing to help you.

St. Thomas has an undergraduate student body of a little over 6,000 students which makes class sizes small allowing for greater interaction between professors and their students. This was very important to me because I learn much better in an environment where I can ask questions if I am confused or if I would like clarification on a particular topic. While tourning the school everyone I met was friendly, upbeat, and seemed very active. This was another reason I chose St. Thomas. Finally, St. Thomas offers many scholoarships to students making it affordable for many budget ranges.

The study abroad opportunities are second to none. If you want to study abroad you will be able to- whether it's for a whole semester, over J-Term, or you take the opportunity to study abroad over the summer. Additionally, St. Thomas is a big school, but at the same time it feels like a small school so you get the best of both worlds. This school also offers a Catholic Studies program- the first of its kind and known throughout the United States.

There's a lot of student and faculty interaction. It's also extremely easy to see how much the staff cares about you, and how much they want you to succeed. Also, the campus isn't too large, and I don't feel unsafe walking the campus at night. I don't just feel like i'm attending a school, I'm apart of it. The staff does a lot to make sure I feel that way. It's super easy to make friends here.
