The advice that I would give my high school senior self is to keep trying and not give up. I would tell myself how important college is and that I need to keep pushing to get good grades. College right after high school is best because if you take time off you will get lazy and not return until years later when you should be already starting your career. It is best to focus on school than friends and other relationships because in the end you only have yourself, you are the person who is going to make the rest of your life the best. Doing well in high school and college is going to make your dreams of become independent come true.

I would tell myself that high school truly is a stepping stone for college life, and to make the most of it as possible. I would tell myself to be more involved with extra curriculars, and to study a little harder. If I had applied myself more and been more involved with everything that my school had to offer, I would have attended college sooner. Better late than never, but I wish I had taken high school more seriously. I was a good student, but I know that if I had studied a little bit more, applied myself a little bit more, and had taken advantage of everything that my school offered, I would have a little more push and drive to exceed then. The transition between high school and college is definitely different, in college there is definitely more coursework, and more difficult assignments, but in the same token it is less strict, because you are not on campus for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Study harder and actually pay attention. Choose a plan of action and set a goal. Unfortunately not having a plan results in wasted time, and greatly missed opportunities. The more you lern in highschool and the more you apply yourself the betteroff you will be in college. Be apart of clubs and interscolastic opportunitys as your resume will prove itself in the long run. Don't waste the teachers time. They take away from their family to teach you o be respectful. Eduction is th most powerful tool any student can have. Use the opportunity to the fullest.

I would tell myself to apply to my current university that I attend now, and to not join the military until after getting the Associates degree, or try to become a Officer by attending University of Phoenix and do a ROTC program from another school and work on a Bachelors Degree. I would tell myself what a great achievement it is just to continue to apply yourself and get the higher education sooner and not two years later down the road.

I would give myself the following advice:
Betty, please pay attention and go to College! Do not be in such a rush to jump into life. College is something that prepares you for life; not only life, but a good one. Life is hard without a proper education! Without college you are going to be wandering and hopping from a hopeless job to a unfulfilling job. Please do not wait til you are almost 30 years old to start college!

Hey bonehead! Stop goofing around and get stuff done. Life has been fairly easy up to this point... you think that you have all the time in the world... you don't. Get your grades up and enroll in college as soon as you get out of high school. It is not as hard as you think it is. There are advisors that will help you because they see the benefit of you continuing your education. There is money just waiting to spent on classes and books because you are worth it. It would be so much easier to go as a young adult with little responsibilities then to go at 38 with a wife and kids, and rent, and bills, and full time jobs, and... well you get the picture. Get off your rear-end and start NOW! Start somewhere. That egree you earn in college will not automatically make life easier, it just opens up more options for you.

Stay in school no matter what comes your way. You are going to go through some hard times, but keep your hopes up and you will be better off. Do not give up on yourself. All your children are watching. You will have three grandchildren whom see you as a family leader and example.

If I knew what I know now, I would tell myself to think harder about what I want for my future. I would tell myself to do more research on schools and not to go to school just because it is expected. There is so much advice that I would give to myself, things that would have made my life so much easier now.
School has always been important to me and I went to school just because I wanted to say that I did it. Except I did not choose right the first three times I attempted college. Being as knowledgable as I am now, I would tell my high school self to wait for school until I was sure of what I wanted for my future. Waiting a year or so is a lot better than being in debt a lot more than is necessary.

I would tell my high school self to take pride in the things you learn in high school. In high school we don't take research papers seriously. If only I knew that writing college papers would be so critical, I would have taken the papers I did in high school a little more seriously. I would also tell my high school self to practice time management because it is a must in college. The most important thing I would tell myself is no matter what never procastinate. Putting things off will only make things worse. The longer you wait the more work you'll have to do and you'll have little time to do it.

If I could go back in time and advise my younger self I would tell myself to not be afraid to pursue what makes you happy. When you choose a career you enjoy it never seems like work and the joy you get froma ccomplishing tasks will ooze to others. I would say tell myself to not chase a degree simply for the money or prestige that comes with it. I would also warn myself of credit cards and the debt pitfalls that lending corporations attempt to trap young undergrads in. Finally I would tell myself to never be intimidated. You have made it this far accomplishing great things and to continue to put in the work becuase it will eventually bear the fruit of your labors.
