What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

While I enjoy attending UNT immensly, it is a very liberal school. Teachers in the science departments especially are very liberal in their views of religion and creation.

I wish I had better time management skills. That is key when you are studying.

Before coming to the University of North Texas, I wish I would have known what teachers not to take. I'm terrible with all things science and I ended up taking one of the hardest teachers, an astrophysicist, in the field. I was miserable and I ended up having to self teach myself a lot of the material.

I wish I knew more about what this program expects out of its students.

When I first came to this school the people who were meant to show us around campus were a suspiciously nice. Once you get here the friendliness that you thought you were going to get disappears. Also I had an opportunity to go to a better, more expensive school on my high school GPA and would much rather have picked that school because of its reputation for a great business school and school spirit.

I would have like to known the entire transfer process. Instead of being passed off from person to person.

I wish I had known that most of my financial aid would come in the form of loans. However, a large portion of those loans are subsidized so it's not horrible.

I wish I would've known how difficult and competitive the Interior Design program is. I will keep moving forward to get into it. If I don't, I know there will be plenty of other things to choose from here, but I am looking for what I'm passionate about.
