What is the stereotype of students at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill?

UNC is often stereotyped as an academically challenging school that studies hard but can also have a good time and has great sports teams. UNC students seem to be stereotyped as rich, obnoxious, and pretentious.

Many people from other colleges in the area think that we all think we are better than everyone. Also that we are unstoppable in basketball. Always and forever.

It can be seen as a very homogeneous student body: white, preppy, well-off, southern, majority being from Charlotte and Raleigh. It is known as the best of the UNC schools so the students are smart, very competitive, and very much follow the "work hard, play hard" philosophy.
