Meaghan

I think that the most popular organizations are the sports teams. Greek Life is not popular but frat rowe is frequented many weekends for parties. I think that some of the traditions here are pretty cool, but I have not made life long friends nor dated here. I believe that drinking is such a large part of this school becuase its hard to find something else to do.

Popular organizations and clubs on campus are the Greek Life, club teams, and intramureal programs. Athletic events are so much fun, especially football and hockey games. I personally love being a part of the greek system. I would say that the library is packed most nights of the week and weekend, but alot of students like to party and have fun on the weekends as well. On a saturday night you can do many things that dont include drinking which consist of mubb theatre movies, hanging out with friends, and grabbing a bite to eat at any of Durhams fine eaterys.

Being involved in the executive board of Alpha Chi Omega has helped me to expand my boundries and engulf myself in a new experience

I think UNH offers a lot of different entertaining things. I think the best club is Scope who provides us with such awesome concerts like SNOOP-A-LOOP!

A group I'm involved with is Alpha Phi. Joining a greek organization is a great way to meet people and to be more involved on campus. Many of the events, fundraisers, and community service I have been involved in was due to alpha phi. Students in the freshman dorms leave their doors open, but not too much in other dorms. Hockey games and football games are pretty popular althetic events, but that's about it. I met my closest friends through my major and the greek community. If I'm awake at 2am on a Tuesday I am studying. People usually party on Thursdays and Saturdays. Friday nights arent as big for partying but people still go out. To me, fraternities/sororities are important because I am in one. This is where the majority of my friends are so I spend a lot of my time there. Last Friday, I went to my friend's apartment, then to the bar, then to one of the fraternities with my girlfriends to visit our guy friends there. On Saturday, I went to one of my guy friend's house because he was having a party. On sunday, I spent most of the day doing homework in the library.

Greek life is very popular at UNH. I am involved with the Greek Sorority Alpha Phi. In the dorms, students left their doors open at the beginning of the year to make friends. Athletic events are very popular because UNH is very good at sports. I met my closest friends in class and in my sorority. If I'm awake at 2 am on a Tuesday it is because I am studying for an exam. People usually party on Friday and Saturday nights. Fraternities and Sororities are great because it forms a close knit community of students who are always there for eachother and work hard to raise money for charity. Last weekend I hung out in the dorm one night watching a movie with my girlfriends and the next night I went to a Lacrosse house.

Every single day there is some kind of event happening. Whether is a music performance brought by the Entertainment group (SCOPE), or a yoga class being taught by Health Services, you can find something to do. Most events are free for students, if they aren't free, it won't be more than fifteen dollars. There is a great theatre program that puts on shows and recitals, and there are many intramural sports teams offered through Campus Recreation. Every year UNH holds an event called SolarFest. As you can imagine, it is an event run completely off solar power. Students gather on a lawn and enjoy live music and dancing while enjoying the sunshine and the good it brings. Top bands usually perform at SolarFest, and they even allow students bands to join the lineup. UNH also has many chem-free, and alternative events on the weekends. Every semester is an Alcohol Awareness Weekend where many organizations put on events students can attend rather than going out drinking. This year I hosted "Wildcat Idol," a singing competition in which first place wins $200. We had a great turn out, and it was great knowing that those people made the choice to be there and watch. Getting involved is the best way to meet people. I am in several organizations and most of my friends are in those clubs or groups. Being part of a group with people who have similar interests as you makes the social aspect of school much easier for some. The groups do not discriminate against anyone, and there aren't many restrictions for joining (some have application processes).

I think that Greek life is very popular and the main sports teams such as football and hockey. I am involved with a sorority and I think that it is very enjoyable. When I lived in the dorm most of the time people's doors were open. Athletic events are kind of popular, I think football and hockey are the most popular. Most students go to those games but I've never really heard of any other sports games that people really go to. I don't think guest speakers are very popular. I met my closet friends freshman year when I was in the freshman dorms. I also met my best friends when I joined a sorority. If it's 2 am and I am awake I am most likely hanging out with my roommates watching tv or talking. I don't really do many things off campus, I prefer to stay on campus.

I feel as though the greek system is a large group on campus, for I am a part of Alpha Phi. Joinging a sorority is an amaazing experience for I was able to meet a great deal of new people and become more involved than I ever thought I would. There are so many opportunities within leadership experiences that if you want to take advantage of them you are able too. I know that another the sports teams are another huge group here at UNH. Last weekend I went o bowling with my sisters as an event to bond. This sschool is not always about drinking which everyone else i thinking.

Erika

Greek Life and Sports. I love being involved with the Greek Community, it makes you more involved with the school and community service and philanthropic events.
