I wish that Greek Life could have a better rep and be more of the campus. And I think that there should be a better oriented language program-paticularly for my major becuase Arabic and Chinese-the two biggest language-are not offered here.

If you are considering coming to UNH, you should know there is a group designed solely for you! Freshman Camp is an optional orientation for incoming Freshman who many be nervous about attending a university, or want to meet people before the semester starts. The counselors are all students who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors intent on making the transition easier for freshman. A week before school starts, the campers and counselors spend five days at a camp on Lake Winnipesaukee working on community, inclusion, and social aspects. The focus is to make the freshman more comfortable while also introducing them to various organizations on campus, academic departments, and ways to be successful students. By the time school starts, the freshman campers will have many friends and will take a huge load off their shoulders. If you think that it sounds like the perfect transition to a new, unknown world, you're right. The counselors are highly trained and really care about the students. It is well worth ending summer vacation five days early. UNH is a school brimming with opportunity. If there is something you want, there is no reason you shouldn't get it.
