Find a college with a good match to the career that you are looking for and just make the most of it. Never be afraid to try something and get involved right away even if it doesn't sound like the greatest thing in the world at the moment.

When finding the right college I think that it is important that the student feels safe and comfortable on campus. The mixture of the students social life and academic life have to both be stimulated. They say that best friends are made in highschool, but your life long friends are made at college, so a campus that is open and easily navigated for social events is also good.

When looking for the right college toi best suit you or you son or daughter some important things to consider is what size of town you are comfortable in. Also what class sizes you want and how far away from home you are comfortable being. My advise for making the most of your college experience is to get involved. There are so many organizations and activities on campus and it is a great way to meet friends and have fun. Also to make the most of your college experience dont drink alcohol or do drugs. Even though it seems like the cool thing to do sometimes there are tons of better things to do every weekend.

To find the right college, I would visit as many schools as possible. It is important to visit areas of the campus that you or your child will be a part of, such as the business college or English department. These are the places where the most time will be spent, and getting a feel for them and whether or not you are comfortable there will make the adjustment to the school easier. It is also important to check out not only the campus but also the town, because the social aspect of college is really important and will make that transition away from home even easier.

I would strongly suggest they tour schools that they are interested in and choose the campus that has a good environment. They should also consider what kind of learning experience they would be most comfortable in. In order to do well in college, I would suggest using the schools resources well. Most schools offer many resources such as a place for career exploration, a counceling center, and a learning center. Talking with the teachers is a very good idea, whether they are struggling or not. Over anything else I suggest getting to know other students, and finding friends. In tough situations, it really helps to have someone who cares about you along your side.
