University of Montevallo Top Questions

If you are an opinion less person Montevallo is not for you because they want you do be able to speak your own opinion no matter what it is!

Every person should attend this school because it is an amazing university and accepts anyone who loves to learn and enjoy the college experince and wants to look forward into the future. To answer this question would be the wrong person who would attend this university would be a person whos is always focused on partying and not wanting to learn.

If you don't want to go to a school that has many years of traditions or if you don't want to be involved on campus, you probably shouldn't come Montevallo. If you don't want to get a private school education for a public school price or if you don't want a home-away-from-home feeling, you probably shouldn't come Montevallo. If you don't want to meet the best people, be exposed to diverse cultures, or be taught by the best educators, you definitely shouldn't come the University of Montevallo.

The University of Montevallo, being Alabama’s only public liberal arts college, prides itself on being very diverse. Having attended Montevallo for my freshman year, I can easily see the diversity on campus. We accept many races, many international students, many students that vary in culture, language, ethnicity, personality, religion, etc. Therefore, this University does not put limits or standards on the type of person that can be allowed into our community. As long as one meets the necessary academic requirements, the type of person that he or she is will be accepted.

Anybody who does not have a very open minded view on life and that can not accept people for who they are should maybe think twice about attenting the University of Montevallo. I say this because while attending school here i have made many new friends because of the very social atmosphere here.

Everyone should try to attend, this is one of the most accepting schools that I know.

Students who function best in a structured environment are not likely to succeed here. This college experience taught me a lot about self-management, meaning that I was responsible for getting myself to class and keeping my grades up. I certainly made mistakes, but I feel that I gained valuable insight about myself in doing so. However, anyone who is wary of change or academic freedom would probably be more comfortable at a larger university. This is a liberal arts school, and it remains true to its heritage.

One should not attend the University of Montevallo if that person wants a big campus atmosphere. Montevallo is a small school and there are not many people there. If one wants a school the size of the University of Alabama or Auburn University, that person should not attend the University of Montevallo.

Some one who gets easily offended. Since it is a liberal arts school, everyone is very different and oppinionated, and some may not like that.

I believe lazy, uninspired people shouldn't attend this school. This is a school for ambitious, creative, and hard-working people who are willing to do what it takes to succeed. The classes are challening, and requires students to put forth maximum effort.
