Describe the students at University of Maryland-College Park.

David

My classmates are generally goal-oriented students who come from various backgrounds and ethnic groups looking to find a successful career that they find fulfillment in.

Nkechi

They are extremely brilliant people who are sometimes misunderstood and are not given the true opportunity to show their brilliance because of the University's policies.

J.

My fellow Terps are known nationally for our less than saint-like behavior. Whether it be at sporting events or on the party scene, Terps are unapologetic for our behavior. This has been misinterpreted by most people as simply lewd behavior. The truth is that we are proud of who we are and enjoy a good time. That being said, we also understand that we are at school to learn and build for our futures. All told, you couldn't find a more balanced student than a Maryland Terrapin.

Sandhya

Friendly and supportive.

Heather

My classmates come from a wide range of ethnic and racial backgrounds, united together through our passion for knowledge and drive to become involved members of the campus community as well as succeed in all of our life goals.

Rebecca

Most are in for the win. Compition here is feirce but you're also often able to find support and help from those around you. Though the general attitude of those around here is to get ahead at any cost they almost always find ways to help out a peer in need if asked or approched. By making ones self vulnerable here is actually a very productive way in making friends and finding support. Everyone suffers together.

Cristina

My classmates are just like me: lost; we're all trying to discover ourselves and who we want to be in the future, while relishing in the life as a first year college student.

Kaleigh

My classmates at the University of Maryland are engaged, intelligent, competative, hardworking people who inspire and challenge me to do my best.

Taylor

Timid, yet opinionated

Jessica

My classmates are generally very hardworking, social people. Most of them will help you out if you miss a class and need notes. It is very easy to meet new people in the classes and become good friends. There is a lot of drinking and partying on campus but if you don't want to participate in that there are plenty of other non-alcohol related activities too. There is a lot of diversity on the campus as well so it's very easy to meet someone from another country or completely different backround than yourself.
