I believe that UK offers much to each student that attends the school. Whether you are interested in fraternity/sororities, clubs, volunteer work, eveything is offered and encouraged. I think that any type of person would be happy there and find an activity to interest them. The campus is big and diverse, enabling each student to get involoved to their own degree.

Abby

Those who aren't willing to learn and those who don't want to meet new people or be successful.

Aaron

A person who is not open to new ideas should not attend this school. There are many students from all over the world and if someone does not like learning about other cultures they should not attend this school.

Laura

UK is such a big university there is really not a type of person that shouldn't attend this school. UK has opportunities for everyone. There are organizations for minorities so that they don't feel out of place. If your not into the school spirit nobody will kick you out. The only type of person that shouldn't attend would be someone with no dedication and is just going to mope around and bring other students down with them. I haven't seen anybody like that on campus though, and it is always a great place to be.

Sadie

The school is big and diverse enough that anyone interested can fit in; I don't think anyone shouldn't.

There's a lot of middle-upperclass whites here, but there's a fair amount of african americans as well. If you're the kind of person who doesn't shop at American Eagle, Aeropostle, Abercrombie, etc then you might feel a little out of place at UK. I don't see too many people who shop at Hot Topic here. If you're into art or computer animation/graphics, you're also possibly looking at the wrong school. Or Japanese. You want to learn Japanese, do not come here.

natalie

Someone is poor and don't like big classes.

Jennifer

People who attend college only to drink beer and have fun - classes are considered important at the University of Kentucky.
