University of Kansas Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about University of Kansas?

Loren

The most frustrating thing would be the sheer amount of people in some classes that I attend. The large population in some of the more basic classes make some of the classes more impersonal than my previous experience at a community college.

Derik

The most frustrating thing about the University of Kansas is that it's positioned on top of a hill, so walking to class is quite a chore! Also, the cafeteria area is somewhat far off from where most of the more common buildings hold classes. Somewhat of an inconvenience when you're trying to grab a quick lunch between classes.

Cortney

Large classes and scheduling classes.

Tarin

Walking up and down all the hills!

Ryan

My school seems to be a bit disorganized. What I mean by this is that the different departments in the school don't seem to communicate together very well. This can make it very hard to find answers to your questions. It can be very frustrating when you can't find the answers to questions you need to know, and you have to contact many different departments within the school. This can lead to unnecessary stress. Also, different advisors tend to give you conflicting answers to the same question.

Some of the buildings need to be updated. ANd it is frustrating when tons of money is poured into athletics when I see other things on campus needing work.

Fiza

The advising help can sometimes be difficult and/or not understanding. In the beginning I had to go through a few advisors before I found one that really matched my personality and understood my goals and difficulties/set backs.

Kelli

What most frustrates me is how it is so hard for me to receive money through the school.

Brandon

Walking up the hill everyday for class. It doesn't seem that bad but it gets tiring after awhile.

Stephanie

Definately the differential pay for classes. On top of tuition, students have to pay an additional amount for a class they are required to take in order to be admitted into the specific school for their major. It's frustrating to hear that your school has tons of money in their endowment, yet the students feel no effects. Rather, they feel is the annual increase of tuition and required campus fees. It makes it difficult for one to soley focus on school if a student has to work as much in a week as they do go to class.
