What is the stereotype of students at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign?

Illinois uses many TA's and it's very true, but this does not take away from the UIUC learning experience. One must learn to think like a scientist in the Biology field, not blantanly knowing and memorizing equations and mechanisms. The TA's really know their stuff about their subject matter, while the professor's lecture surrounds the key materials. Meanwhile, the University also offers limitless student organizations, greek communities, or any outside affiliations to further enhance the college experience.

In general the stereotype that I hear most from incoming students is that U of I is split between the greeks and athletes in champaign and the art majors and more eclectic groups in Urbana.

Some stereotypes I've heard are that U of I students think they're better than others because U of I is beginning to have more of a prestigious reputation. I feel that U of I students don't necessarily think they're better than others we are just proud to say that we go to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The sports atomosphere is great, too. Even if our team isnt that great, the Illini Nation still stands strong and supports all athletics in any circumstance.
