UFL has given me the best freshman year anyone could ever ask for with my sorority. How our campus is boring with out greek life. Our school is fairly large. People congratulate me when I tell them I go to UF. I spend most of my time in my sorority house. College Town. UFs administration is good. There is a ton of school pride.

The best thing here really is the whole gator nation feeling. It really does feel somewhat like a family, you you are part of something greater than yourself.

The best thing about UF is the people. I would change the parking situation. Before I came, I thought it would be too big but now that I am here, it is just right! People are jealous when they hear I go to UF, obviously. Most of my time is spent in Jennings Hall. College town all the way! I haven't interacted with the administration so I don't know. Tasing situation. There is LOTS of school pride! UF is unique! Summer B is one experience that I will remember forever, best six weeks of my life! Parking is the only complaint I have heard.

A big, always fun, drunken oasis

The best thing about UFL is that it is a large school but there are so many ways to make it smaller. I joined a sorority and fell in love with it. I also have become involved in clubs and church! I spend most of my time on campus at the sorority house..and unfortunately the library :/. There is a ton of school pride and I will never forget my first year of gator football games! When we lost to LSU and our some of the fans were crying..that really shows true spirit. Most frequent student complaints probably deal with terrible parking and gainesville traffic. YUCK! All in all, it's a great experience.

the best thing about ufl are the football and basketball games, and the parties! i would change the amount of flyers/trash on campus. my school is just the right size. when i tell people that i go to ufl, they appear to be proud and appreciative that i am a gator! i spend most of my time in my dorm, at the HUB, at the gym, or at library west. total college town. ufl's administration is good. the biggest recent controversy was the andrew meyer tasering, dr. kervorkian's visit, and the miss uf competition. there is SO much school pride. i will always remember the gators winning the sec championship against ohio last year in football.. everyone flooded university ave screaming and having fun. it was amazing =) the most student complaints i hear are about the preachers at turlington plaza, always discrriminating against homosexuals, women, and people who are not radical right wing conservatives.

The Gator Nation, advising, just right, admirably, reitz, college town, a little stuffy, student government elections, yes, the student body, meeting my freshmen roommate in broward, parking

I would change the class registration process. It is very difficult to get into the classes I need for my major. While UF is a large school, I love it, and I wouldn't have it any other way. People generally react in a positive manner when I tell them I go to UF, unless they are from FSU. I think people hear that I go to UF and correlate that with my intelligence, which I'm fine with. I spend most of my time on campus at my sorority house. Gainesville is definitely a college town. Gainesville = the University of Florida. I think the administration does a good job; I don't have any complaints. A big controversy on campus right now is "minus" grades. I, personally, do not think they should come into play; I think it will cause GPAs to suffer greatly. UF students definitely have a lot of school spirit and pride. There isn't really anything that unusual about UF. I'll always remember my first class at UF. It was a feeling of, "I can't believe I'm actually here. I really made it." I worked really hard to get here, and being in my first class made me realize that my hard work had paid off. I don't know of any frequent student complaints.

Total college town, Gainesville would be nothing without the University. Gator Pride is overwhelming. A visit doesn't do it justice, you don't get the full effect until you go here. The school is very big and it's something hard to meet people, ironically.

When i first came to UF I was a little overwhelmed by the size. I thought i might be just an 8 digit UFID number in a sea of students. But it's really not like that at all. Once you learn your way around campus you see that its really not so big. Also your classes will be in the same general area based on your major so that will become your campus. I feel like everyone an UF finds their niche and a place and crowd they feel comfortable in. I think with a big university there are so many diverse people that you can learn from and you don't get that from a small university.
UF is the ideal college town. I love how you can cross university ave and be in the city. You can grab a burrito at burrito brothers or go to target copy and get your coursepack right in between class!
The city revolves around the students and businesses depend on us for business so they cater to their needs.
Sometimes I like to schedule my classes so I have an hour to relax. If i have my lap tap i'll go to Orange and Brew to study. When the weather is nice, (which is about 75{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the time! Another great thing about going to UF!) I'll get Krishna lunch with some friends in the Plaza of the Americas.
I'm a photojournalism student and i love just walking around camps, watching students, and seeing the campus from different views. It's really incredible, the architecture, the age of the buildings and watching people interact.
