Overall, this school is absolutely amazing. I love going here and there are so many opportunities if you look for them. I think its exactly the right size especially for my major, foreign languages, so you really get to personally know your professors and better practice your skills. All the alumni I have happened to meet outside of school and those who I have told that I go to the University of Delaware have an overwhelmingly positive response, especially in reaction to the program my school offers for foreign languages which is technically my major: Three Languages. Aside from the critical languages I study (Chinese, Arabic and Russian) there are ample opportunities to study other languages which excites me and many other students. Aside from the program that allows me to study three different languages under one degree, I would say the best thing about UD is being able to be so close to peers and professors because of the size. It gives way to genuine connections with people that care about you and want to help you succeed in any way they can.

I love my choice and I'm happy with the decision to go here.

I honestly hate almost everything about the University of Delaware. Really an ugly campus with a bunch of self-absorbed rich kids who could care less about anything other than getting drunk and spending all of their parents' money.

The University of Delaware is absolutely the perfect school for me, embodying everything I wanted in a school, such as a spirited community, a fun and beautiful campus, and wonderful academics and professors. One of my favorite things about the school is the feeling of pride on campus, no matter what day it is. I also love seeing both new faces and old friends every day while walking to class, or wherever else I may be going! Main Street, the school's fun "downtown", is the PERFECT college town, full of frozen yogurt shops, clothing boutiques, delicious restaurants, book stores, coffee shops...you name it, it's there! Everybody loves Main Street, not just students, and it is a fun place to go in-between classes or at night with friends! People have positive reactions when they hear I attend the University of Delaware. People always tell me, "OH I know someone that went there who absolutely LOVED IT...", and I always respond by saying, "I am yet to meet a single person who doesn't." The school's strong academics combined with it's ubiquitous pride and magnificent campus provide the University of Delaware with a great reputation, and I am proud to be part of a school which is reflected positively in so many different ways. Some of the main issues around campus include things such as difficult parking, and theft. However, these issues are manageable and preventable. The parking is not as bad as it seems, as long as you remember to feed the meters and know where the main parking garages are located. Also, campus safety at UD is extremely proactive and works successfully not only to limit the amount of theft or other campus crimes, but also to teach students how to be safe on campus. Personally, I feel extremely safe here and know that, similar to anywhere else, as long as I am smart about my personal safety and about keeping my personal items in my possession, I will avoid any such issues. The University of Delaware has a unique and special aura that is hard to understand until you are a student here. The feeling I have on campus is special, and is something I hope to keep in my heart and memories interminably. Whether you are laying on the "green" with friends on a sunny spring day, studying on Main Street, or attending class, you will always be happy, intrigued, enthusiastic about what lies ahead, and thankful you made the decision to attend the University of Delaware.

I absolutely love UD! In fact, I don't think I have ever had a conversation with a student or an alumni who has had anything but great things to say about the school. It is technically "medium sized" but I feel like it has the perfect amount of people. Although there are about 16,000 undergrads, I always see people i know wherever I go on campus. I really love this, because it creates a great sense of community. One of my favorite things about the school would have to be Main St. this is one long street that cuts through the middle of campus, and contains everything a college student could possibly need. There are tons of awesome restaurants, a cupcake shop, two frozen yogurt places, tons of places to buy clothes, a pharmacy, bookstores, and much more. My personal favorite is SAS Cupcakes. It is this little cupcake shop with the most delicious homemade icing I have ever tasted. The campus is absolutely gorgeous, which can be especially appreciated if your professor lets you have class on the green, which has happened to me this week! Gotta love lenient spanish professors. Overall, I cant imagine being at any other school.

I really love University of Delaware. It is the perfect size campus within close proximity to many things. Main street is an easy walk and has everything you need. If not, then there is always the convenient option to take the bus to the Christiana Mall. I hate when people think that we are a party school because there is so much more to do than just party. Academics keeps me busy which is good, but there is also alot of room to have fun.

I totally love this school, i originally had Delaware as my second choice but could not imagine going any where else now. I love the overall atmosphere of the school, its not to big, can walk to both ends of the campus in less than an hour but still has that feeling that your not always seeing the same 5 kids. The size is just right, and whenever you tell people you go to University of Delaware their is a positive connotation, where people tell you they knew someone who went their aswell and loved it. I spend most of my time on campus in my dorm, library, classrooms or walking on main street, never boring. Their is literally always something going on no matter the day and time. The overall atmosphere of the campus is loving and you will bound to make friends no matter who you are.

I absolutely love everything about Delaware. This school was my top choice since I was a freshman in high school. The moment I stepped onto campus I felt at home. There are such a broad range of people at Delaware you'll always find someone to be friends with. Delaware is a big enough school where you definitely won't know everyone on campus. Recently, I joined greek life and love it! It definitely helps make the campus smaller. Now I can't help but run into people that I know! Personally, I love the size of Delaware's campus. I have friends on all sides of campus so the size is definitely not a problem. I wouldn't say that UD is too large. I don't know one person that doesn't love UD. We are all so proud to be Blue Hens!

Chelsea

University of Delaware is very diverse! There are copious engineers, those who participate in our Nationally acclaimed study abroad program, brothers and sisters involved in Greek life, athletes completing in Division II sports, and much more. UD offers a place for everyone and anyone to fit in. The students and faculty are accepting and you are able to make a new friend wherever you go. Coming from long ancestry of Blue Hens, I take much pride in this University. No matter if it is a rainy or sunny day, you will see students walking around campus flaunting UD gear! The food is delicious and you have many options to choose. Being lactose and tolerant, having a gluten allergy, and not being keen on eating meat, one may say I would have a difficult time finding a meal I like. However, UD provides a variety of choices for all life-styles!

My favorite thing about this school is how close my floor is. I love how everybody bonded and I can just walk to the room next to me and hang out. I would change how the busses run here. I feel like there is never a bus when I need it, but if you plan it out, you won't have a problem. I also wish that the campus was more accessible for kids without cars on the weekend because the Newark train station is closed Saturday and Sunday. My friends and I play basketball, soccer, and work out all the time because there are gyms and courts really close to the dorms. We've recently started going to Perkins (student center) to play pool or ping pong, too. It's definitely a college town. The people you see walking around are students or faculty and I see familiar faces around all the time.
