The great thing about UD is that everyone who goes there is a little strange. Not in a bad way; UD kids are weird in the best way possible. Everyone who goes there actually enjoys learning and strives to collect as much knowledge as they can. It's wonderful to be surrounded by people who are just as nerdy as I am.

The University of Dallas has an amazing core curriculum that trains the mind to think and analyze no matter which major course of study the student chooses- it's important for all careers. Also, my school owns a campus in Rome, Italy where students are able to study for one semester of ancient Roman and Greek education! The semester in Rome is where the importance of the core curriculum based in the liberal arts really comes to life for a UD student- as a matter of fact, it's coming to life for me right now in ROMA!!!

The beautiful campus and the fact that Dallas is so close nearby. There are hundreds of places to go to hang out with friends, to study, or just be alone. I grew up in Dallas, but I really used this year to expand my horizons about this city and the surrounding area. With beautiful parks and lakes, huge malls, 25 cent theatres, 24/7 diners, and an incredibly safe campus, if you ever feel restless don't hesitate to go explore. We go climbing trees, visi the free Dallas Museum of Art, plan picnics, or fly kites. Everything is available!

The University of Dallas offers a study abroad program in Rome, for an entire semester.

The people. I am so proud to know the people I know, and so happy that I know them, and that they are who they are. They are kind, funny, very smart, have similar views to mine, and are very strong in who they are. The discussions that I have here are some of the best I have had anywhere else.

The quality of the education we are receiving. We focus not on common academic trends, but on the essential topics of what it means to be human, to live in our world today. We study the best that has ever been thought or written, and learn not just a technical skill for a career, but we learn HOW to learn, which not only better prepares us to face life beyond academia, but puts us a head above our competition. This is due in a large part to the excellence of our professors, who care for our personal and intellectual growth.

Mostly I brag about how awesome the professors are, how intriguing the classes are and how intelligent my classmates are.

The best thing about the University of Dallas is that there is a great diversity of ideas and opinions here. This greatly compensates for the fact that there is very little racial and ethnic diversity. The students here benefit from this school primarily because everyone's views are challenged or stengthened in a way that leaves no one offended or insulted. The core curriculum at this school encourages many insightful and thought-provoking conversations between students inside and outside of the classroom.
