What's unique about your campus?

Catharine

The best thing about the U of Chicago is that even though every one was working harder than they ever worked before, everyone was passionate about something, and they were pursuing that passion and engaging each other in it. My classmates were muti-talented and intelligent. The school has a considerable core curriculum so most students were interested and good at bth the sciences and the humanities. If you are serious about academics, and want intellectual pursuits to take up most of your time at college, there is no better place than the U of Chicago.

I came here to be surrounded by smart people, essentially - to make a good learning and living environment - and I got what I came for. Everyone here can carry their own in really worthwhile conversations, but at the same time, people are silly enough to make fun of themselves and acknowledge and enjoy the silly things in life.

The best thing about my school is the interesting classes offered and the other students.

I like the variety of classes you can (have to) take. I'm a biology major, but I've taken classes on media, humanities, Greek civilization, science fiction, poetry, calculus, world music...You specialize in your major, but you can experience as many types of fields and classes as you would like. It also allows you to consider other majors and makes it easier to switch majors than at other colleges.
