The unique thing about our physical campus would have to be the beautiful gothic architecture, which is lovely whether under the changing colors of fall leaves or covered with a dusting (or a blanket, let's be real here...) of snow.
The other truly unique thing about UChicago is its tradition of free and open discourse. Everyone is encouraged to respect the opinion of others, and you'll find that many students, if not all, respect your opinions and want to engage in debate, not tear you down. It can be an exciting place for the mind!

The conversation with other students is very stimulating. You read and write a lot. I lke the interaction with the professors most of all.

The best thing about the University of Chicago is that it allows you to express your inner nerd, to learn new and interesting ways of looking at the world and to brag about your intellectual curiousities.

The research and coursework opportunities for undergraduates are incredible given the large graduate student population. This allows undergraduates to immediately get their hands on cutting edge work to determine if they really are interested in and excited by their chosen field of study. This is a huge advantage over other schools that are mostly undergraduate institutions and, thus, focus more on teaching the basics rather than truly expanding the boundaries of human knowledge.

What I like best about UIC is all the resources that are provided. There is tutoring for Math, Science, and Writing. The library is a part of the I-share program which allows to borrow books from all the collegiate libraries in Illinois. The student support programs help in many things such as laptop and calculator renting. There is also the U-Pass which gives unlimited rides on the CTA so commuting is easier.

The quality of the academics are second to none.

The passion of the students. It allows for really great and interesting classes that revolve around discussion or peer support.

The best thing about my school is the academics and the guarantee of receiving a good education as well as being well prepared for the future. This goes as far as careers and achieving life-long goals. I say this because the professors push us to do our best, and they have a low tolerance for failure.

Learning for its own sake is emphasized, and the professors and TAs are always willing to talk to you--many of mine have taught me about the subject beyond what was taught in lecture just because I was curious; they are excited to share their research and ideas with students. In addition, there is almost no competition for grades even though most classes are graded on a curve. Almost everyone will help you out with your classes, give you notes if you missed class, work with you on problem sets, etc.
