Liz

Some of the stereotypes I heard prior to attending UCSD was.. -a lot of asians -a lot of biology majors -nothing to do (socially) -everything is really far away, car is of necessity -campus is large (in terms of distance) -triton eye -no spirit -lack of good sports programs (no football team) -up and coming (the next) ucla -very competitive

Megan

nerdy, uncool, into studying, not that cute--but generally nice. A lot of asians (esp from my high school)

Charlie

They are unsocial, losers, study all the time, boring

Reese

The stereotype is that UCSD students are nerdy, studious, and have no social skills.

Gretchen

Stereotypes for UCSD in general include that the school is "socially dead" and there is no fun to be had here. Many assume that because we do not have a fraternity row or because we do not have a football team, there is no school spirit and no social life. UCSD student stereotypes are that everyone is 'nerdy' and 'super smart'. Because students here are serious about there studies, they obviously have no time for fun.

Sarah

That there aren't a lot of campus wide activities and that people here mostly keep to themselves and that the campus isn't very social.

Quinn

UCSD --university of california, socially dead. There's nothing to do at UCSD and the people are anti-social. No one cares about UCSD sports and the only thing that people do is study.

steph

Nerdy, academic.

Cameron

UCSD is boring. UCSD students are all nerds and are generally unattractive.
