The University of Arizona is best known for its tremendous variety of research opportunities. The professors are almost always willing to work with undergraduate students in whatever area of research a student is interested in. Labs are located all throughout the campus giving many students research opportunities they didn't even know they would have before coming to the university. Learning interesting material from a professor is one thing, but discovering something all on your own is a new and exciting challenge.

My school is good for pumping out scientists and people in the medical field. We also have very good sports.

My school is admittedly best known as a party school-- but it doesn't have to be! I like to think Arizona is known for Basketball, Football, Greek Life, and the Retailing and Consumer Sciences Program. We are very lucky to have many different corporate businesses interested in our school, our students, and our program, and continually have recruiters coming through to find employees and interns.

UofA is definitely most known for it's medical school and foodball. Two drastically different things, but important in their own way. One provides knowledge, the other school spirit.

While so many other, more important aspects of our school are overlooked, the University of Arizona is most known for it's Greek life. A large emphasis is placed on the importance of Greek life here, particulary for incoming freshman to join the rather large community. Also, a hump sum of money is given to greek life organizations on campus.

My university -- that is, the University of Arizona -- is pretty well known for Astronomy, as far as I've heard. My college -- the College of Fine Arts (at the UA) -- is an art school that's very concept-focused. What I mean by that is that the College of Fine Arts believes art is about communication, so their focus is to make sure its students communicate concepts or meanings as effectively as possible. Students leave the college with a better understanding of how to translate ideas visually, and how to create and facilitate conversation about a piece.
