The students who attend UAA come from all sectors of society, with the possible exception of the upper-class/elite 1{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}. There is a visable mix of backgrounds and cultures, and the LGBT presence is quite strong if you know where to look. UAA, like Alaska in general, is very come-as-you-are in terms of dress, and people wear what they feel comfortable in. As far as politics, it exists, but it never really comes to the surface unless it directly involves UAA life.

The student body at UAA is a truly diverse, culturally rich, deeply intelligent, and shockingly experienced group of individuals; who provide a valuable contribution to their respective classes, clubs, friends and in my humble opinion, our future.
