The amount of work necessary to do well at this institution is unbelievable. Our display of leadership qualities coupled with self-discpline and motivation make our school one of the best in the country. Not only do we work hard but we play hard as well. Our weeks spent studying and going to class are well worth the fun we have on the weekends, especially since we are not allowed to leave during the week.

The amount of opportunities I get to travel abroad (as well as throughout the country) as well as the many different things I have done through the military that most people will never get to do in their entire lives, let alone by age 20.

How demanding my first year was and how much I've learned because of it.

I was qualified on an M16A3 assault rifle within three weeks of attending, and the tradition in the institution and the honor in its students. The Academy has an Honor Concept developed and enforced by those students, the midshipmen. I brag about the guarantee of a job upon graduation and the fact that I will be a commissioned officer when I graduate, leading America's sailors the in defense of freedom.

It is free and I will have a good job upon graduation.

Opportunity to travel, see things, and meet people that I would never have been able to do anywhere else.

I don't have to worry about finding a job after graduation and there is a very strong alumni network that hires graduates.
