Make sure that you always plan ahead and visit all your choices before you decide where to go. Make sure you have time, money, and plan out your spending habits.

You need to know what your going for first and foremost. Then from there give it all you got on that college or university. Parents respet your son or daughter's decision and give them your full support and let them know that your are backing them up 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the way. As well as tell them that they need to focus and work hard to get a really good career and a very great future.

Don't make your child go to school if they are not interested you will waste time and money. Encourage them to go but don't make it manditory. Let your child choose the major of his ir her choice after all they are going to be the one who has to work in that field for the rest of their lives.

Make the most of your time in college and don't get to stressed out. With this in mind, look for a friendly college at which you can find friends and administrative support .

try to find scholarships to help pay for school and try not to have to have a job that works too many hours or get in the way of studies. don't go to a college cause of a boy/girl. you may end up regretting it. and when choosing a school don't focus so much on outside activities but rather how good the learning is. many companies like hiring smart people because you can teach smart people anything (Microsoft corporation executive's look for that).

Searching for the right college is not easy. Parents and students looking for colledges must first look at the environment. Some people have difficulty going to school when they are seperated from their family or those close to them. If you are a person who is fine with living away with your family, dorm and apartment expences should be takin into account, as well as transportation. Sometimes people do not relize that living in a dorm or apartment may mean needing a job to pay for all of their new expenses. All though all of these things are imortant, the most important thing about searching for the right college is whether the college is right for your major. Always search for the best colleges that will help you find your career, and take a trip to your college to view the environment. Rather than it be a surprise, take a tour to see the whole place: the areas you will be eating, studing, learning, and socializing as you advance in your studies. This is my advice to you; do not pick a college without setting foot inside. Get to know your environment.

Students and their parents should take the time out to research any prospective schools in which they might be interested. Researching includes checking the school's website, mailing or phoning in for literature on the school, and even taking a road/plane trip to some of these colleges and attending a tour or an orientation. Visiting the campus and the city that surrounds it can make or break one's decision to attend that school.
Once a student has settled into his or her freshman year ("settling" isn't necessarily synonymous with "beginning"), he or she should take care to seek out the various clubs and organizations that school offers. These can include fraternities/sororities, volunteering organizations, or special-interest clubs. There is virtually something for everyone, and it's easy to start up an entirely new club if this doesn't hold true. Students should do this early to meet new people and make new friends (most of whom are probably anxious about starting college themseleves).
Finally, students should take advantage of the career/internship services offered after a few years so that the student can apply what he or she has learned in a relevant job before graduation.

It is always important to know what to mayor in before deciding on a college so you can base your decision on the best option for that mayor. It is also very important to save up for college, for me all the fund I have available are whatever the goverment gives me, so early funding is something you child will always appreciate.

College is an endurance test. Your academic capabilities will be weighed and measured. Your financial resources will be drained. And there may be times where you will question your choice of majors and future career. The best peice of advice I can give any student is to get involved with organizations and internships that explore all of their interests. Being active in the university and professional development programs helps students to access whether or not they really want to make a career out of their academic focus. Not only this, it provides a break from the rigors of classwork. When participating in things such as internships or research, the student is actually able to see what they are working towards. They get to taste what their life and professional career will be like when they graduate. It is important to find a university that will support the student by allowing them to participate in activities related to all of their interests because this is how one is able to chose a career path--but more importantly, a life path. One should choose a university that gives them the oportunity to explore and develop all of a student's talents!
