Finding the right college isn't a science. There are many factors that can determine this choice. Many high school seniors weigh the pros and cons of several different universities. Some students walk onto a campus and just know it's their home for the next 4 years. I think the advice I would give to students would be to try to imagine themselves living life, day in and day out at whichever college they visit. Can you picture youself living in this dorm? sitting in this classroom? making friends here? engaging professors here? It makes the selection process so much more real, and I know that's what helped me choose my college. Financial aid is most definitely something to consider, but your 4-year experience and your excitement about the university you decide on should outweigh the tuition factor. Finding the right college is definitely more like an art.
