Well, I know for a fact most people procrastinate but there really is not a place for unwanted people. There are groups and organizations that help you feel at home. For this question I have no comment or answer.

People who don't have the drive to do their best should stay away from Texas State. You make it a couple years, but you will not graduate if you don;t put in the work required.
Elvira
Extremely conservative, pompous, type-A personality person.

If you are at college for all of the wrong reasons you shouldn't waste your time and go to this college or any other college. College is a place where you are supposed to stretch your mind and expand on what you already know, not a place to slack off be lazy and go out and party. If that's all your at college for you will quickly be weeded out and drop out. This college especially pushes you to the limit to make yourself the person you've always wanted to be.

A person thaat is mainly focused on partying, sociallylizing, drinking, and doing drugs with no educational motives should not attend this school. Texas State takes education very seriously and will not tolerate slacking.

Texas State is diverse and is home to many different types of people so it would be hard to specify who shouldn't attend the school. Althoughl I can use my roomate as an example since she decided to go back home after her first semester. She was more focused on having fun than on pursuing the acedemic aspect of the college experience, and while it is healthy to put yourself out there and have a good time, it is still importnant to find a balance. My roomate let her grades slip and began to wish she was back home.

Close-minded people should not go to Texas State because it is a diverse campus. As a Hispanic serving institute Texas State tries to bring diversity to its campus. I am a fist generation college student and I had a lot of getting use to. It was a difficult but Texas State does a great job to allow students like me to adjust to the college transition by having programs in place that help first generation college students. Anyone who does not like equality would not be able to fit in well at Texas State.

I think that a student that is unmotivated will not do well at Texas State University. Not only is the campus spread out, it is in hilly Central Texas so attending class is a physical effort. Also, I think a person should not attend the university if they are close minded. Texas State University is a very diverse college, encouraging attendance of students of all religious and cultural backgrounds.

I honestly can't think of a "type" of person who shouldn't attend Texas State. It is a very diverse college with people from all walks of life. There is also a wide variety of clubs, organizations, and fraternities to become a part of to make friends with similar interests as you. Many students here are very friendly and accepting, those are actually two of the main things students are talked to about at orientation. They encourage everyone to be open to other people's opinions and to accept those different from you.

The type of person that shouldn't come to this school would be someone that is coming to only party. Our school may be known as a party school but a lot of students here do take their school into consideration and there's a lot of things to do besides partying. So unless you're coming to study Texas State wouldn't be the school for you.
