What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

If anything, I wish that I had done more research about the area in which my school is located. One of the reasons I liked this school was because it was close to the beach. However, besides the Jersey Shore, there isn't a whole lot of fun things in the area. If you aren't a party animal, there isn't much to do on the weekends. My friends and I make our own fun. We have movie nights, go out to dinner, and so much more. We make the best of it because we love it there!

I wish I had been more outgoing during my first few days on campus. There was so much going on that I felt shy. I wish I had become more independent and met more people during those first few days.

I wish i had known that it was this great of a school. This school is a very good school but i never really heard anything about it until i was really looking around for near-by schools. I think its name should be known so others can have the opportunity that i had to come here.

There is a scholarship that Phi Theta Cappa gives out. I was offered a spot in this honors society, but did not see the letter until I was finished with my two year college. Once I came to Stockton, I found out that the only scholarship I was eligible for in my first semester as a transfer student, was that one through Phi Theta Cappa. This disappoints me greatly knowing that if I had just seen this letter, I could have been awarded one thousand dollars.
