What's the most frustrating thing about Spokane Falls Community College?

Lauren

My greatest frustration from SFCC was the academic advising. The advisors didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I saw several different advisors and every one told me different things. The degree I was earning was an Associate's of Business. None of the advisors seemed confident about which classes I should be taking so I lost confidence in them. I ended up getting the most help from my accounting professor. My advice to future SFCC students is to bond with a professor who you can go to for help and advice.

The only thing about Spokane Falls Community College that frustrates me is their student to counselor ratio, and the fact different office departments seem to have employees that feel they are always competeing against one another so they can be a little rudes sometimes.

The complete and utter lack of cigarette smoking areas, and the fines you get for smoking on campus. Also, the fact that if you don't have your parking pass paid for, registered with your tag number, and displayed in the perfect militaristic way as determined by the subjective rules of the 'authority' (rent-a-cops), they will give you the run-around, or fine you. The security at this school exist to make your life harder and generate revenue for the school, as do most kinds of law-enforcement officers.

I can't say its frustrating because the program I'm going for is a relatively new program, I just wished they offered the classes for occupational therapist program at night.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the lack of effort to get a grade of a 4.0, and the biggest frustration is teachers that have been teaching at the college for over ten years seemed to not want to teach the students what needs to be taught, especially pre-calculus, I had to transfer out of pre-calculus 1 and 2 to find a good teacher to learn the information.

The most frustrating thing about SFCC is when it rains the side walks and lawn are flooded!

The most frustrating thing about my school is the lack of my major related classes. I am going a pre-med route on hopes to later go into the medical field and become a doctor. My school, however is more of an art school so it is lacking in the medical and science classes that would help and give experience to help me later down the line in a medical career.
