If I could go back and tell myself something as a high school student, I would tell myself to try super hard for scholarships because they do matter. I would tell myself that college classes, books and living expenses are not cheap. I would also tell myself that college is going to be a struggle opposing to high school.

As you shift from the exciting years of high school to the courses of life in college, one can soon be made or broken. Procrastination is one of the biggest issues. Attempting to stay up all night for a next day assignment is never a good idea. Usually when you begin this habit, you are likely to develop unhealthy sleeping patterns, diet and exercise. It is hard to focus when you are tired, then your work ethics are not good the following day. It is never a good idea to wait the week of or the day before to start an assignment, begin to work on it as soon as possible. Good money management skills are a must! Developing budgeting habits are essential tools to practice daily to circumvent careless spending, especially if you are living away from home. Not only are you learning to budget for yourself, but it also helps your paraents. If wise budgeting is implemented, then when extra money is required, it will be available. Furthermore, there is no greater significance to learning than attending class everyday and taking good notes. As I see it, education is also an industry in itself that requires strong dedication.

There are only three pieces of advice I would give myself, simply because college life is everything I figured it would be, hard work, determination, time consuming, intimidating at first then slowly becoming just another transition to adult life. The first piece of advice is to find a part-time job! I didn't get a job until the summer after I graduated college. Having a job gives you the opportunity to gain more responsibilty for many things: doing things on time, social skills, etc. Along with going to college for the first time, it is also another step/transition into the adult life. It also gives you the opportunity to save the much needed money for books, tuition, etc. The second piece of advice I would give myself is, "IT IS NEVER TO EARLY TO FILL OUT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS/ETC." I waited until the last minute and that proved to be near stressful money wise. Even though I got a little bit of grants, I still had to pay for most of my school. Lastly, the people you associate with have some sort of influence on you, so choose those that are as motivated as yourself!

Telling myself that college is the most important choice of your life and you have to take it one day at a time. Its better to study all week, rather than cramming right before a test and spend a proper amount of time on each project. I think the best advice I could offer would be to always do your best on evey aspect of college life, study hard do the work and always believe you will make it to graduation day. Its important to have a "life" in college, but its more important to make good solid grades, thats why your at college.

If I could go back I would tell myself that college will be stressful but it will also be a lot of fun. I would also tell myself how I would create friendships that will last me a lifetime and I would meet teachers that will leave a special place in my heart. I would explain how I should study hard and listen to each instructor very carefully and how it is good to be 15 minutes early and be very organized and tidy. I would also tell myself to enjoy each and every moment God gives to me!

Never think that you are bthe best at something. Even though you may be at the top of your class in a particular subject or area there is always someone smarter, wiser, and more intelligent than you. Never settle or be complacent. Always strive to be better because you never know when you may hit a stumbling block in life and it may hold you back or knock you back. Be respectful to those around you because you never know who is watching. If you want the world to be changed you have to do it yourself. Never wait go after what you feel is right. I cant recive all the timne i have to learn to give to recieve

I would make myself study for the ACT to get a better score the first and second time. With just a few more points I could have gotten a scholarship.

If I could go back in time when I was a senior I would tell myself to slow down. What I mean by that is do not try to rush through high school. Do not just do what is needed just to get by, do your best at everything. Soak up all that the teachers are teaching you and remember it because it will help you in college. I would tell myself the learn how to study properly and make it a habbit. I also would tell myself to be involved with as many clubs as you can because it will look good on an application. The most important thing I would tell myself is prepare as much as you can for the ACT because it could lead to a four year scholarship and therefore I would not have to apply for scholarship money. This is the advice I would have given myself in high school. I wish I could warn high school students now so they will not rush through school like I did.

If I were able to go back in time and talk to my high school self, there are many things that I would say. One thing I would tell myself is not to be afraid of change. Growing from a high school student to a college student can be a stressful journey; however, it is a journey worth taking. Yes, you may see it as a rough road because of the important choices you will have to make, like picking a major, etc., but to look at the brighter side and see it as a great opportunity to experience new surroundings, and to learn new ideas from your peers and professors. A second thing I would tell myself is to count your blessings everyday and to be thankful that you are able to attend a high school and have the opportunity to attend any college of your choosing because there are thousands upon thousands of students around the world who have the talent and the mind to attend college but may be stiffled by their government or family situation and are not able to spread their wings and grow into a well educated being.

Don't take things for granted. I did not perform to my best ability my freshman year in college and regret making those choices. I also would have started at a 2-yr college to begin with so I get more of an understanding in what career is best for me.
