Simmons College Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Simmons College? Why?

Erin

Simmons, like Boston, is predominantly white. Sometimes I wish that there was more cultural and racial diversity. But overall it's a very open-minded and welcoming school.

Kristina

The worst thing about my school is their lack of staying ontop of advising their students such as academic advisors checking in with students to make sure the required classes are fufilled by a certain time.

Heather

The worst thing about Simmons is the cost, which is about $47,000 per year. This is a major drawback because of all the student loans I have to take out.

Sophia

The worst thing about Simmons is the closed off feeling you get being here. When I'm at school I feel isolated from the community and even from my own peers. I feel like everyone is still really into cliques and being an all girl school it can get very catty. I wish that there was a more united feeling here.

Brittney

The worst thing I consider about Simmons College is the cost for everything. There are so many different things that you have to pay for and it adds up very quickly.

Gabrielle

Either the size or the fact that it's all women. I think the school could be a little bigger or offer men to take classes even if they aren't allowed to live on campus.

Kristina

I don't believe there is a "worst thing" about my school. I feel that it is a very welcoming and well-respected facility.

Nalani

There is not too much racial diversity and sometimes that leaves minorities feeling like outsiders.

Amanda

As a young adult trying to succeed in school, I feel as if the lack of financial help is one of the difficulties in attending my college. With that being said, classism is present in my school community. I find this difficult and discouraging at times because a lot of my community is unaware of circumstances that myself and other students are in and have been for a large part, if not whole, life.

Meredith

The Social Life on Campus is alright, but not great. There is TONS of things to do surrounding the campus it just costs money.
