San Diego Mesa College Top Questions

I wish I would have known exactly which classess I needed and didn't so I would not have wasted any time.

I would tell myself to read more, pay attention to all teacher and maximize time in school. I would take class more seriously. I would spend less time with friends and more time with studying to get better grades. This would help with getting a scholarship that would make it easier and less stressful in order to maximize my efforts. Most importantly I would tell myself to read more and learn to enjoy reading and expanding my imagination.

I wish I knew that the college educates people of all ages. I had this idea in my head that the college comprised primarily of newly graduated high school students. In reality, however, after actually attending my first semester of classes, I noticed that my classmates were all of different ages ranging from 17 to 41. Once I got the image of 17 to 19 year old college students cleared from my head, I was able to focus more on my class work, rather than the question of whether or not I would fit in with the student community.

I wish I would have known how comprehensive college could be, if you apply yourself to all that is available to you. By seeking out programs, clubs, leadership opportunities and the services that are provided on campus, I have found that it has significantly improved not only my idea of what college is like, but it has also contributed to making my character more well-rounded.

Before registering at the school I wish I would have known about all the groups, clubs, and sports we have at the school. Every semester I learn something new about my College. I never knew hhow awesome our theater arts was and how amazing our basketball team is. None of this makes me feel left out, if anthing I enjoy discovering new aspects of my school. One thing I think I would have really liked to know, entering this was the ASL department. I have always had a passion to learn a new language and Cuyamaca has an awesome program.
