Some are nice, some are snotty. Try to get to know them before you assume. "Never judge a book by it's cover." People at this school can surprise you.

My classmates are entertaining but are also attentive and studious.

Salve (and the area immediately surrounding campus) suffers from a severe lack of diversity of every kind. Campus is predominantly white, upper-middle/upper class, straight, and apathetically Christian. Salve is not particularly generous in terms of financial aid, which limits the amount of non-wealthy students able to attend. LGBT students still occasionally face prejudice. Ethnic minorities and international students feel out of place and often transfer. I worked as an International Student Mentor and had an international roommate, and all of the students I worked with had trouble adjusting to a curriculum that often presupposes a Catholic background (students are required to take two religion courses), as well as difficulty integrating with a student body that is largely ignorant of other cultures. Students who do not follow the stereotypical college student "uniform" (leggings, uggs, North Face, etc) are treated like weirdos. As a result, there are very few "characters" on campus from whom you can learn about a different perspective.

They are hard workers, and know what they want for their future.

We have different thoughts and goals. The way that they opporate are totally different than mine. For most of them, money is not the problem so it makes life a little bit easy but I can't never do half of the things that they do and sometimes, I feel like an outcast but they make me feel WELCOME which is very refreshing to know. The atmosphere is lovely and friendly.

My classmates were outgoing, talkative, willing to learn, helpful, and intelligent.
Paul
helpful on projects and eager to learn
Caitlin
My classmates, speaking in horrific generalizations, are: materialistic, well-off, naive, Catholic, reticent, narrow-minded, conservative, good-looking, conservative, hard-working, kind and motivated.
