I would say enjoy your four years of high school. Pay attenion and take all of the advance classes you can. Also take advantage of being able to have your parents there and help you with what you need. Then dont take some time off from school go right in to collage dont wait it only gets harder the longer you wait. But most of all enjoy High School and dont rush things to grow!!

get in the habit of studying daily and save as mush money as possible

Deffinately to pay more attention in school rather than the social life. None of the social life I had growing up helped me in my future. I don't talk to any of my same friends like I thought I would. And deffinatley tell myself to attend college prep classes that I use to think would never do me any good. I am now proceeding into a medical career so I would tell myself to do the CNA class my high school provided that way I would have more experience. If only I could go back in time, college life would be very interesting instead of stressfull

If I could go back and talk to myself when I was a high school senior I would tell myself to look for as many scholarships and grants as much as possible before I started. I would also tell myself not to take a year before I went back, the transition was a lot more difficult when I hadn't been there for a year. Even if I had only been able to go part time or just take online courses keeping my mind in school mode and stimulated would've helped so much rather then trying to pull my brain out of the sludge that had developed within that year off. I also need to mention how to distribute my time between my at home responsibilities and each individual class, I'm sure that my classes would've gone a lot smoother if I had spaced out my study time rather then cramming it all together like so many high school students have a tendency to do.

Don't be afraid to take the next step into college, because the apprehension you may have will go away and you will find yourself enjoying it much more than high school. Be prepared to study hard and to pay attention to what work you need to do and be prepared to listen carefully to your professors, because college gets rigorous. Also smile to people you pass at college and make new friends in classes, because it will make your experience much more enjoyable and you will be able to associate with people that are going through the same things you are in college. Keep true to your faith and always remember who you are, because even though college has its ups, it also has its downs, so don't let yourself be influenced by the bad and always search for the good in college. You are a wonderful person, so don't get discouraged by trials that come your way, because with your faith you can overcome anything that is placed before you.

I would tell myself that I should do concurrent enrollment to get ahead. That way I would be able to get a degree in more subject like I want to but if I had a head start I would almost be done with my first degree. As well as convincing myself to save money and make a budget for college which I didn't do at all. I would also tell myself to do good in highschool and to plan out my future as much as I could.

Be organized. Nothing can be more damaging to your efforts than a cluttered backpack/bedroom/folder. I've also learned that I should always keep the assignments given back to me, because sometimes the professors make a mistake and you need to prove your grade. Also keep old assignments/tests if you know the class will have a comprehensive final -- also, FIGURE OUT if your class has a comprehensive final or not, because those classes tend to take a little more effort or be just plain harder than some others; others may not even have a final, or any tests at all. This is a need to know THE FIRST DAY. And don't be shy to email your teachers, they're there to help you... but some are not helpful or nice, it's who they are, and that's a life lesson not just a school lesson.
It's also good to make friends in your classes, no matter the class. It's not only helpful for that course, but ypically those people will continue to take other classes you need, or have already taken classes you will take later on. Don't be shy!

?Sara, you will make college happen for you. There are many resources, people and institutions that will support you in this. It?s just up to you to find your motivation. You know you love learning. Remember that little girl who daydreamed about being a teacher herself one day? I promise you, she is still there. You will find her again, it will either happen now or later. It?s completely up to you. But if you find her now, you will save yourself precious time and heartache. My recommendation to you: Don?t worry about the finances for college at this point, they will line up. You are very intelligent and capable. Just enjoy your classes now, and use them to determine your interests. What makes you excited? This is your time to discover yourself! Once you re-discover your passions, your motivation will follow. With motivation and drive, you will accomplish anything. Your fist two years of college will be an exciting time, full of self-discovery. There is nothing to fear. Many options will open up to you and the world will begin to look different, more abundant and full of possibilities. The best is yet ahead!"

As a high school senior, it is sometimes hard to imagine that you will eventually have to make the transition from high school to college, even though that transition is right around the corner! So it went with me; I was more concerned with just finishing up high school rather than the thought of beginning college. And because of that, I finished up high school just fine. But, when I began college, I realized that school is NOT over yet. The worst part of it was I realized just how expensive college can get when you don't have any scholarships to rely on. If there is one thing that I would tell my high school senior self, I would tell him to study hard, hard enough to be able to earn scholarships, and not to study just to finish high school. For the real life, college, is just beginning!

I decided that getting a job and earning a pay check was more important than getting an education. DO NOT DO THIS! Get a student loan and get your degree! I'm now 24 and I don't even have my Associates Degree yet. You know how you hate people treating you like crap? Imagine having to put up with that every day and not having an out. Don't worry about your debt with the loan, you'll be making more money with your new career and you'll have it paid off in no time. Also, go into Electrical Engineering. Don't worry about the grades you got in High School, we are a lot smarter than they gave us credit for. Oh and make sure you get married to Alysea, she is awesome! If not for her I wouldn't be in school to begin with. She will help you and you will help her and you will both live very happy lives. That's all, good luck and remember this saying "do what you have to do today so that someday you can do what you want to do".
