Describe the students at Rollins College.

Marc

My classmates come from all walks of life. My best friend is from Croatia , my big brother in my fraternity as well as my R.A. is a goofball who's dad works in the mailroom, some of my classmates are on the Rowing Team with me and my equally close lab partner is on the verge of getting married and suffers from MS. The students of Rollins College are a diverse group who have come together to excel at a higher education, form personal bonds with classmates and professors alike, and aspire to excellence.

Generally, I find that students at Rollins are very friendly. I have never had a problem asking someone a question or simply smiling and waving hello at a familiar face. There is a range of diversity here! We have students from numerous different countries - in my sorority alone, seven countries are represented. There is a diverse enough group of students that you will definitely find your group of friends within the first year. I haven't found there to be many racial/LGBT/religious conflict at this school, although I know the school is making an effort to try to bring those communities together. They recently installed a program called ALLIES that is comprised of students who serve as LGBT liaisons and "allies" of the LGBT community. Simple programming like that helps to bring the campus together as a community and to raise awareness.
