Small classrooms where the teachers know who you are and pay attention to you. It's my favorite thing about Quinnipiac because your given a good opportunity to succeed.

The Academics at Quinnipiac are decent, though there is a crappy class registration system that makes it hard to get into good class. The Quinnipiac seminar classes are a waste of time and money, but 3 are required for graduation.

the classes are not to big, about 30 kids. the school is not huge so the classes wont be big. i always know my professors names and they know mine. class participation is huge because of the small size. i am marketing major which it not the most difficult major here. it is pretty competitive but not cut throat. they are also very good about finding internships and jobs.

I know all my professors by name. I haven't come across a class that I didn't really enjoy. I find that all professors are accessible. They provide their phone numbers and any other contact information so that I can call whenever I need to. The academic requirements are strict and you must work hard to do well. The professors are extremely fair though. The courses are definitely geared towards to the job environment and the text selections are pretty decent as well. I've enjoyed a few books and have continued to read them after the classes are over

All my professors know who I am and I like that, they are able to provide a lot of extra help. I feel as though any student can get an A in a class if they use all the tools available to them and their class mates. The education at Quinnipiac is mostly focuses on the basics you will need to know going into the working world, but also for learning the fundamentals to better prepare you for life after college.

The class sizes at Quinnipiac range from 10-40 kids in once class and if you are in a class with 25+ students chances are that the professor won't know your name unless you stand out. If you are in a smaller class the teacher not only knows your name but is aware of your weaknesses and strengths in the classroom which allows him to help you in specific areas of the subject. My favorite class definitely was my Media Studies class. The teacher was so enthuiastic and since I'm a public relations major the class was very beneficial. The teacher know everyones name and it was actually fun to learn in that class because he would start each day with a youtube video to grab our attention. He would talk about present day media so we all knew who he was talking about. Overall it was a great class. My least favorite class has to be Sociology. It's a three hour class once a week and there are so many students in the class that the teacher doesn't know our names. The topics we discuss would be interesting if it was taught in a fun atmosphere but unfortunately it wasn't. Depending on the class there is class participation but if there isn't the class gets boring, so participate and spark discussion! The students here competitive but thats because we are paying so much to be here so everyone wants to do the best they can and take full advantage of what the school has to offer.

Professor Buckley is awesomeee

in the past i have had a good experience with academics. i am a public relations major and the professors are great. studying varies from major to major and professor to professor. the QU101, 201 and 301 classes are a pain because they are treated like english courses that we have to take and this past semester i had a terrible teacher which made my experience in QU201 awful.

Academics are totally different between schools at QU. As a business student, I have been able to get to know my professors very well, and I hear the same from friends in different schools. The professors are here to help no matter what. The workload for the schools is very different, though. Science majors do the most work by far, and most are candidates for graduation by the fall of their senior year. I've found that the School of Communications and the College of Liberal Arts have the least amount of work, but just know that switching majors here is not the easiest process. The core curriculum is different for each school and it can mess up your credits (take it from someone who has been in every school here). There is also a pretty strong career services system at QU, and they are very helpful when it comes to finding internships and jobs.
