If I could go back in time to myself as a high school senior, I'd have a ton of advice to give myself. I would've told myself to apply for more scholarship because then I didn't realize how much I would need them. I would've told myself to spend more time with my friends before I left, because I wouldn't realize how much I'd miss them. I would've told myself to look deeper into my career choice and discover everything that it entails. I also would've told myself to spend more time with my family, because they would miss me the most when I left. I would advise myself not to come very much once I got to college, because then it would make adjusting and assimilating to college life harder. I would have encouraged myself to work hard and have fun.

I would tell myself to take standard testing more serious, such as the SAT and the ACT, because I didn't score so good on my tests and now I'm a year behind in school and I have to take theses tests again. I would tell myself to study harder in class, because I have to attend and technical college in the spring of this year just so I can have some college credits so I want be compete out of loop when I go to an university. Bottom line if I had to talk to my self again as a high school senior I would basically tell myself to take advance of the time I have when everything is free and when people are helping me. I should have been be studying for these tests and not playing around, thinking colleges would just come to me. They want to see what I can do

When one is forced to look back and call to mind past life experiences one often thinks of how one could change things if given the chance. When I look back I often think about how I could change my life, if only I could talk to myself as a senior in high school. If given the chance the first thing I would tell myself is that everything is going to be all right. Life is funny, before going to college my greatest fear was the fact that I am or rather was a very reserved, and shy person. I wondered how people in a college setting would take to me. But I've realized that it doesn't really matter. Living with new people and getting to know people who are just as worried about the same problems really forces you to open up. I've made so many more friends in college than I had in high school. I've joined clubs, and sports teams without the slightest hesitation and hang out with and have fun with people all over campus. Life is funny, and I know this sounds cliche but i'm glad.

Studying is an important aspect in any college education. However make sure you enjoy what you are doing and have fun. Don't make it all about studying or all about partying, have a good combination of the two and your college experience will be very rewarding.

Perhaps, when you first arrive you will be overwhelmed by the sheer number of social and extra-curricular activities happening all around you, all the time. There is a good chance that you will want to get involved in every single club and organization on campus, however it will eventually become too much and you will need to lessen your involvement in them. Be willing to make this sacrifice, because academics must come before extra-curricular activities. Also, treat each and every project as if it was a portfolio piece, because it very well could be.

If I could go back in time and talk to my self I would tell myself many things. I would try to prepare myself better for college life and life away from family and friends. College is a pretty hard environment, theres a great deal of pressure put on you all at once. Once you have your ways set though it becomes relatively easy. I would try to prepare myself better for responsibility with school work. In highschool our teachers pretty much did everything for us. In college we have a responsibility to folow up and check whats going on constantly. Overall my tansition into college wasn't that bad. If I could've prepared myself more for the responsibility and the stress that college brings on, it would have been much easier though.

If I could go back and give myself advice my senior year, I would tell myself to study a little more and to try a little harder. My senior year was very easy for me. I didn't have to take finals the first semester and the second semester's finals weren't difficult. When I got to Purdue, the exams were a lot harder and it was hard to get back in the routine of studying. I had, and I'm still trying to, teach myself good study habits. Also during my senior year, I didn't have to work as hard as I do in college. Homework was easy and most of the time I could do it in another class and get it out of the way. I didn't have to read much for my classes to understand material either. It's a lot different in college. It is very important that you pay attention in class and to try hard. And even more important, studying is key for doing well.

If i could go back in time and tell myself anything I would tell myself not to be afraid. I would tell myself to be more social and outgoing when it comes to meeting people. I would tell myself to enjoy and relax, not to be one track minded on school only. I know that school is important but so is having a great time while being there. I would be sure to tell myself to tell my family that i love them more often and to thank them for all that they have and will give me. To tell them you won't let them down. I would tell myself that it isn't the end of the world when you don't get where you want to go, instead make a new trail and to enforce the idea of never giving up on my dream.

Eugenia, when you get to college you are going to meet the finest man you have ever seen in your life. Not only will you think this but he will also think this. Here is a hint, he is the guy that will try to talk to you from the piano. You are going to marry him and have four kids while still in college. After you have your first child, find a daycare that will be able to watch him for you. Do not try to do everything by yourself. Allow others to help, this will allow you to follow your dreams. Do not go into engineering, you think that is what you want to do, but you will come to realize that is what your parents want you to do. Remember this is your life. Live it for you not for anyone else. Get involved on campus. Do not just sit in your room and study all day. You will miss out on so much if you do that. Focus on God!. He will take you where you need to go. Read the bible daily and pray daily. When your relationship with him is good, everything is good!
