Point Loma Nazarene University Top Questions

What kind of person should not attend Point Loma Nazarene University?

Kimberly

I think that PLNU is making small strides towards diversity and social issues. I think people looking for more diversity and a school that does not stress religion/faith then Point Loma is not the right school for them. There is no diversity at this school, the demographic is about 97{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} white and the stress of faith and religion can be overwhelming and counterproductive most times because it's as if it is being forced. A student who wants their own spiritual journey would not feel at peace here.

Jeremya

Anyone who is involved in drugs, alcohol, or the party scene.

Heather

A person who does not want to go to chapel or does not have a religious background or faith would not do well at this University.

Coreen

If you are looking for a big party school this is not it.

Mica

I would not attend this school if you have no desire to have religious affiliation. Point Loma is Nazarine and you have to attend chapel 3 days a week and many of the classes have religious undertones with some professors even praying before classes. So if you have no desire to partake in that type of schooling I would not attend.

Curt

Someone who tends to have more conservative attitudes and prefer small class sizes

Seth

People wanting to live a party lifestyle

Adrienne

Someone who is made to attend this school. No one should attend this school that is forced, or not really wanting to succeed.

John

Ultra-liberal or open partiers. No drinking.

Michael

It is a great school for anyone looking for a more personal education and reasonable class sizes. All classes are taught by professors and not graduate assistants like at state universities. It is worth the extra money to get a higher quality education.
