What's the most frustrating thing about Pepperdine University?

Dayanne

The most frustrating thing about Pepperdine is definetely that it is located in a very upscale town which is not college friendly at all. There isn't an abundance of fast food restaurants, Targets, or even shopping centers to find jobs at which makes everything so much more difficult. Not to mention that the location of the school makes it nearly immpossible to venture out without a car on campus.

Hope

The most frustrating thing about Pepperdine is absolutely nothing. I have been able to grow as a person here in many ways that I never thought I could. My faith has grown in so many ways and so has my learning. I am changing and molding into a better person everyday. The professors are great and so are my peers. Pepperdine is awesome.

We have a major parking problem so you have to allot time to find a spot before class.

Pepperdine is a great school, and while malibu is a beautiful city, I do believe it's definitely not a college town. It can get a tad frustrating when you want to go off campus, becasuse if you don't have a car, or a friend doesn't have one, then it is nearly impossible to go out. The fact that both the beach and local shopping center are at least 30 minutes away in walking distance sometimes discourages students from exploring the surrounding areas of the University.

There is an unusually high amount of very steep stairs everywhere on campus that you never quite get used to. By the time you reach the top you always feel a tad winded, even if you are in shape! Be prepared for the first week to be a tad rough.

Natalee

lots of rules

Terrell

Nothing.

Keiy

Convocation and extensive general education listing.

The most frustrating thing about Pepperdine is the horrible cafeteria food. They sign only one company as the provider of food, giving them a monopoly over pricing. As a result, tiny portions of food of a terrible quality are extremely expensive, and the students who have a meal plan have no choice but to give in. It is progressively getting worse.

Alison

The Intercultural Office is unnecessary and causes problems on campus that do not exist and creates more trouble than good.
