PSU isn't perfect, but what you can make of it is. There is a time to play and a time to work, at PSU we've found the perfect medium.

I love Penn State. It is my home (far) away from home. I'm from Ohio, so I only make it home for long breaks, but I can't say I've ever been homesick. Between activities, classes, and friends the school year goes so quickly. It's the summer and winter breaks that seem to drag on forever. I cannot stress enough how much this university forms to fit your needs. I'm a small town girl and my best friend is from Philly, and we love PSU equally. It can be anything you want to make it, you don't have to change to fit it at all.

I'm not going to lie; I love to go out and drink. After all, I was voted "Biggest Partier" by my high school class. I wanted a school where I would be able to have a lot of fun. Yet I'm also a good student. I've made the Dean's List every semester, and I'm at the top of my class. I might not apply myself as best as I can, but I wanted a school for both a good time and a good education. And here, I get both. You don't have to be a huge partier here. In fact, there are so many alternative things to do if you don't drink. But I have to admit, it helps.

Our news system is great here; the newspaper really does a great job of telling stories that are going on as well as advertising different events. I found out about a free practice LSAT that the university was offering. Plus they constantly have information about bar specials or different theater productions going on.
Also, they have a great online system. Angel, an online system to communicate with classmates and professors, does a great job of assisting in the learning process. Teachers can post powerpoints from classes or send out class email. Web classes are so easy to keep track of because of Angel.

Couple last comments.....
- Can PSU please put together a decent plow truck movement, so us bikers can get to class without spinning out
- Don't even attempt to bring a car, my advice, you are just going to spend hundreds, I'm serious, on parking tickets and $100 a pop for getting towed. And, don't think for a second your can put your hazards on for 20 minutes, they are on top of their game here.
- Definitely check out the ski slopes at Tussey Mountain a couple of times in the winter, along with Whipple's Dam in the summer. Great times with awesome memories.
- If you get a underage drinking ticket, and you probably will, don't freak out. There are numerous programs you can do to serve your time. Penn State tries to claim they have one of the driest campuses this side of the Mississippi. Just keep your fake ID back at home and never ever use it here. The bouncers and cops have a great system to get you good.
