Take the time to do research about the college you want to attend. Take a college tour. Parents allow your child to make their own decisions. Students make the best out of your college experience. Keep your grades up. Have a social life and make friends. Also, be aware of who you hang around, everyone is not your friend.

I would advise parents and/or students to choose a college that is best for them. Don't just choose a college that offers financial aid. I would advise students to make the best of their college experience wherever they go. Even if the college isn't the college they wanted to attend, they should definately make the most of the experience. It's true... The years you spend in college are the best years of your life. You should cherish every moment of it. Besides, you're going to college for one purpose: to learn. College is a learning experience itself, so definately take advantage of the experience.
