Oakwood University Top Questions

There are many types of people at Oakwood University, and it's a very diverse campus in terms of area of orgin. I beilieve Oakwood is best suited for an African American/ Black student whose religion is Seventh Day Adventist. This school was designed by SDAs so if a student isn't affiliated with the religion it is very hard to ajust to the rules, and regulations set here on campus. Oakwood is a HBCU, and predominantly African American so this is why I feel African American Seventh Day Adventist should attend Oakwood University.

Someone with religious affiliation. Oakwood University is a Seventh-Day Adventist school but they accept student regardless of their faith.

The type of person that should attend this school must be someone who is motivated to learn new things, serve God and demonstrate hard work.

I believe the kind of person that should attend this school is someone who is interested in getting a good education, making friends for life, finding a spouse, who wants to make big steps for their future career goals, and someone who wants to be spiritually fed.

The kind of person that should attend this school, is one who is spiritual, mentally, physically strong. A person who knows what they want in life and is not deviated by small matters in life. This school is head strong and it challenges you to become the highest achiever you could possibly put yourself to be. This is also a school for the broken hearted, a person who needs a friend, who is going through a depressive state because in a school like this surrounded by friends who make you smile will bring peace amidst the storm.

The kind of person that should attend this school is one who is ready for a rich educational, spiritual, and social experience. A student who will understand that time management is key to success and that God is in control of everything. The universities' main goal is for students to enter to learn and depart to serve, the student must be willing to use their knowledge for the good of others upon departure. This university is for a student who is ready to have good wholesome fun with other students and build friendships for life.

Although Oakwood is a historically black school it is not just meant for black students and has reached out and already has students of different races. If you're tall, this is the school for you. If you're short, this is the school for you. If you're black, this is the school for you. If you're white, this is the school for you. If you are seeking God, this is the school for you. If you're not seeking God, this is the school for you. Most likely, you'll find Him anyway. Oakwood is for everyone.

Any student in search of a successful future, and a hunger for knowledge and a closer walk with God.

The type of person that should attend Oakwood is a person with a strong, paitient spirit; a person with a genuine desire to be on the Oakwood campus. This person does not necessarily have to be a religious person.
