This is about to become the best experience of your life. Every day is an adventure. You will finally be surrounded by those who share your skills and your passions. You will be more driven and goal-oriented than ever before. You will meet all kinds of people, many of whom will become your closest friends. These experiences are going to shape you into a mature, young woman. There is nothing to fear. There is no going back, only forward. Don't worry about the money, I promise it will all work out in the end. Do your absolute best in everything and God will provide the rest.

If I could ever go back to my high school self there would to many things I would tell myself. The first thing I would tell myself is to stay in school. Secondly what I would tell myself is that try you hardest, dont mess around. Lastly I would mention that its not easy in the real world as you think. Let me Explain!
To start off with is to stay in school. For me getting back into school is not easy and I have to relearn a lot of thing I would have known. The saying if you dont use it you loose it is true.
Secondly I would say try your best and dont mess around, skipping school to hang out with friends. Friends come and go worry about your own future and dont make stupid decisons.
Lastly I would mention that life in the real world is not as easy as you think. You think it will be like on tv all fun but its tough without a good education to guide you.
In conclusion that is what I would tell myself amongst other things if I could go back to my high school me and talk.

You need at least a 2.5 GPA to apply for most 'Early Bird' scholarships. Other than that, nothing in high school matters much. Keep working on art. You will regret every minute you don't spend drawing or studying. Don't stress so much, you can get through this. College is fun!

Dear Jessica,
You might not beleive this, but this letter comes to you from you, from the future.
I know you... Keep an open mind, and heed my advice.
There are many things in your past that hold you back, and you know of what I speak, but just as you always have so will you always do, be strong. I want you to know that it's okay to make mistakes, so long as you learn from them,. Just don't let them get to you and remember sometimes, to let it be. My biggest peice of advice, and one you need to remember, save your money. You might feel alone and bleak at times, you're going to be broke, but you will find your way, and the path you will follow will fuel your dreams. You're going to do things you never thought you could Jessica, and even if you don't know it, you're on your way here already. Everything that's led you to where you are has led me here, you can make it. You will make it. I'm rooting for you, don't let yourself get too stressed out.
Kathryn
First I would tell myself "Yes, you actually make it to college!" Then I would probably just say it is important that you don't limit yourself to what you think you know, you have to get out there! Leave yourself open for new things, and moving yourself to a higher level of knowledge. It is important to keep learning and trying. There is so much out there and you can do it all, don't suffer like other people. Find a career in something other than fast food. Make a decent future for yourself and your family. Make yourself proud!

If I were able to go back in time and tell myself about the future and about how to transition and prepare myself for college life, it would be summed up as such. I'd tell myself to be prepared for hardship, and attempt to plan everything out. I would tell myself to not be afraid to make mistakes, but to look over things twice. Never forget to make friends and to always believe in yourself, along with the friends and school around you. To make sure it's what you really want, and to strive towards the dreams of becoming an artist no matter how difficult it may seem. Of course I'd make sure to tell myself to have plenty of money in hand, but I'd make sure to reiderate, that no matter how scary it might get, to just trust your gut and go with your best judgement on things. That college is a great experience and you should enjoy it while it lasts, be ready with a job, a pencil and paper, and all of the good hopes and wishes that your parents and loved ones set forth towards and with you at all times!

"If I knew then what I know now...", we would have done so much differently. I know that I am not the only person to realize all the mistakes I have made, or how unprepared I have been for what is now the present, and still the future. I look back so humorously on the immaturity and curiosity that was my life, and think "what a girl". There is no pretending that every person, especially an adolescent teenager, does no wrong. Mistakes are such an intregal component of life and I am lucky enough to have learned from so many. If I were able to retrogress in time and visit myself as a seventeen year old high school senior I would say to myself, "Stay curious, keep making those mistakes. Don't be afraid of imperfection or failure or pain. You are the most important person to me and this is always changing."
Cory
I would tell myself that you must always stay true to yourself. Through college people will try to push you in so many different ways and it can mess with your mind. You must stick to what it is that you want and not what everyone else thinks that you should do with your future. College is not easy, but it is worth every second that you are there. You will grow in so many different ways. You will gain much knowledge and you will grow in maturity. Also when you finally move out and are doing school on your own you need to be able to push yourself to the fullest extent. You can not afford to be lazy. If you end up getting bad grades it is all on you and you will regret not putting in your best effort. College life is what will make you who you are. This is your future so you must make sure you prepare and do everything you can to make your dreams come true.
