The moment I stepped foot on campus the first time I visited I knew it was the right place for me. The environment was friendly, it was close to home, the major I am interested in pursuing was offered here, the campus was beautiful, and the extracurricular activities I was interested played a big part in campus life. Also, because of my GPA and ACT score I was awarded a scholarship to attend the school. Find a school you fit in. What is important to you? Whatever it is, may it be strong academics, athletics, or joining a fraternity or sorority, pick the school that offers opportunities for you to plug into what you are passionate about and interested in.

Make sure that you take college into consideration it is a big decision. For prospective students make the most out of your college experience by getting involved and make sure to study. College is as hard as you make it. Do not wait until the last minute to do your work stay on top of your studies.

First I would say to the Parents, your child's happiness depends alot on where he/she goes to college and how much of the decision to go there was theirs. If he/she is given the final decision as to where to go then chances are they are going to feel like you actually have confidence in them and will be there to back them up 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}.
Secondly I would tell the Student that if your parents respect you enough to allow you to make the final decision on where you want to go, then you should weigh all of the different issues surrounding your decision, for instance if this school has a good program for the degree you are wanting to go into.
There are lots of things to consider when choosing the right college and you might not find it right off or, but be sure that the one you choose is somthing that you can both agree on and will fit the budget (for the parents) and your overall student needs.
The key is to respect each others reasons for choosing or not choosing a specific school.

If you plan on attending a university and paying boo-koos of money you better enjoy what you are paying for and get the most bang for you buck. Really try and research the university you or your child is planing on attending. You want to make sure that you are going to live comfortably and the college is going to suit your educational needs. What most people don't know is that college is a service business, as in "serve-us". Most colleges are all about leaching every little penny they can out of your pocket, and in return don't really serve your needs. Some valuble information that I am going to pass on to you is to get your general education classes out of the way before you really decide on a major. You could change your major 2 or 3 times before you really decide on what you want to pursue as a career. Enjoy your free time when you have it. When you get down to doing the homework, it can sometimes cause stress on your brain and you really don't want that! Now, go out there and fulfill your dreams!

Ask the students, and I mean the average student. Not the student workers. Find the plain jane student.
