The advice I would give myself if I could go back in time would be expect the unexpected because your life will change after your freshman year in college. My advice would be to stay strong and go at your own pace. College is so much different than high school so do not compare them. In life, you will have difficult choices to make but pray first and then you will know your answer. Do not let your family; friends are even your situation get in your way of graduating. In life it might take you a while to achieve your dream but it will be worth it in the end. Just always remember the story about the hare and tortoise, you might be slow getting to the finish line but you will make it even when life passes you by. My last words would be from my favorite passage " Proverbs 3:5-6 " Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Katrina, you have to walk this journey but this journey will mold you to the person you will be.

If I could go back in time I probably would tell my self that going to college is very important. In order to succeed in college you must have 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} focus. College requires a lot of time and dedication. I would tell my self to wait and get married and have children. I would have gone to school full time during the day so that I would have the opportunity to be the first person in my family to graduate. I am going to come right out of high school and go straight to college, no waiting, no I don't need college or I will start later on. Nope, as soon as I walk across the stage I am going to go and enroll for the fall sesmster. I would relax for the summer and be ready to start a better life for myself.

Make sure you are able to establish yourself before you decide to get married. You can establish yourself my attaining the highest level of education possible. In order to pay for your education, I would recomend going into the military. This will not only help pay for your education, but also take care of your need to get out there and see the world. While in the military, take advantage of anything which would enhance your education, so you won't have to spend as much time or money pursuing your degree of choice once you are out of the military. While pursuing your education, don't worry about your grades. If you work hard and complete your asignments, you will get great grades. Besides, the most important thing, is doing something you love to do. When you do that, you are going to find people who generally think like you do, and you are going to enjoy life more than the average person. Once you have done all this, you will have established yourself; then you can move on to the next phase of your life by starting your own family. Good luck, I know you can do it.

If you have a job while you are a senior, don't let it interfere with going to college. You feel that because you have a job and you are making a little bit of money that you will go to college next year. The next year comes and you not in school yet. Next thing you know, a total of four years have gone by. Now here you are with an okay job, no college education, and a feeling of unfullfillment. Even if you fill like you need a break from school, still go. Your first year, you don't have to overload your schedule. Just take 12 credits (4 classes). With some scholols, taking 12 credits, lets say your classes are three days a week, you are out of there by 12:15. So dont wait, getting your college education is very important and will take you a long way.

If I could go back in time to when I was a High school senior I would of told myself to take school a little more seriously. I gave forth all the effort, but I still feel I could of accomplished more. Actually I did a lot more than the average senior, I worked 21 hours every week at my S.I.T.E (Student Internship Training Experiences)(non-paid) , accomplished 134 hours of volunteering, and took classes at the same time. I would of told myself to concentrate on education the most and I didn't make that my top priority and I should of. I would of also probably told myself to save the money I had, because now I need money to pay for my classes and textbooks.

If I could honestly go back in time and speak to myself in my senior year of high school I would give myself an "earful" of advice. Now that I've been through a few semesters and have really gotten into sync with college lifestyle I know the dedication that it takes to be a succesful student. The First note of advice that I would give to myself would be that scholarships are the key. When you're in highschool you think that not every scholarship needs to be filled out but i've realized it's pretty close to all of them. Second piece of advice would be, don't be so nervous! I used to be so nervous of what school would be like, drowning myself in questions like whether I'd "fit in" or not and whether I was ready to take on the responsibility. The third thing that I would tell myself is, you're gonna love it!

The best advice that I would give myself is to get all the help and information will I am still in high school. Find every possible scholarship available at the school or online. I could even go to a particular college like Mountain View College and ask if any scholarship that I could possibly apply for. I personally did not do my best to get all the advice I needed for college and I wish I could start all over and do it again.

Just because you get into a school does not mean that you will have an easy time with the courses. College is a lot of work and getting in is only the first step.Students have to stay focused in order to continue to succeed in college. This does not mean that there can not be a social aspect of college, you just have to balance everething. You also need to find the soacial life that you want, not the one that your roomate and suitemates want. Not everybody has to rush a sorority. If that isnt the best fit for your personality, you probably wont get into the sorority, and that will be a good thing. Not every student on campus gets ewasted every weekend. Most students don't drink that much or don't drink at all and if you aren't comfortable drinking, you don't have to. Be willing ot talk to your professors if you are having trouble with something or you dont understand. Go in to office hours and ask for help, that is part of your professor's job and that is the purpose of office hours.
